Absolutely - a little cement or polyurethane foam will do the magic. Or, if you still want to be an outlaw, you can use your government issued 20 round ammo ration stamps to load it up to capacity in mere three months.
 
Yes, but... As it is assembled now (17 round mag on top, 33 round mag at the bottom), it does not fit the handguns (G17, G34, etc.) as the splice is in the way of the mag well. It could be put together the other way around (33 rounder on top). I was just happy finally having it dialed in in this configuration. It runs reliably in AR9s with enough clearance in the mag well. In order to make it work in handguns the longer mag needs to be put on top. This might require additional fine tuning/beveling.
