This is my first time reloading45 acp.
I am using Bullseye 4,8 gr with a 45 acp 230 gr copper plated HP.
So here is what I am finding.
I have to the length to 1.203 so the bullet sets in the barrel of my 1911 fully with out hitting the lands.
Is this too short, should I reduce the charge due to the bullet setting depth.

I is a little short, but I don't think it's too short. The charge should be fine. My Lyman manual says a max of 5.3. You'll have bigger problems with pressure if your bullet is jammed into the lands. The only time I've run into pressure probs was when the bullet was touching the lands.

Tried the rounds today, no problems and recoil was good.
Thanks for checking out the loads felt a lot better pulling the trigger on the first round.
How important is the head space on 45acp.
I understand the head space on a bottle neck round.
