Not a collectible, this is a shooter. Someone had put a .30-06 barrel on this action, but I don't believe they ever fired it, as the extractor was not modified to work on that cartridge. I bought it for the action. Took that barrel off, and had a gunsmith replace it with an original unfired Remington barrel. I have only fired it a couple of times, but as I am downsizing, it is now available. The action is tight and in excellent condition, other than the previous owner wiped all the info off while reblueing. Since the serial number is gone, it will have to transfer through an FFL. Happily there is an excellent shop here in Lincoln City. Needless to say (but saying it anyway), the bore is perfect. Set up for a tang sight. I can also throw in some brass, if needed.
