.44mag vs. .45LC

are their/wer casull avail. in blackhawk? i know they are made in redhawk. freedom arms made/makes the ultimate. however: $$$$.

Super Redhawk only. Not sure I would want to shoot one in a bh with factory grips.

Btw the Ruger casull is a 6 shot while most others are 5.

Freedom schmeedom. The ultimate is called the 460 S&W. Takes colt, casull and 460.

which ever caliber you get, get a lever gun to match. Double your pleasure, double your fun.

I’d go with the 44 mag if you’re looking for a powerhouse. I’m not a fan of super charging 45LC (hich can definitely out thump a 44). Pop one of those off in an old Colt SAA by mistake and you’re going to have problems. 44 mag brass is built stronger too.

If you want a fun gun for plicking or cowboying the 45LC would be the choice.

Either way get a levergun in the same caliber.

Solution. Don't own a SAA or its clone. The 45 colt redhawk or blackhack are worth owning in their own right. The Starline brass is every bit as strong as 44 mag brass.
