First rifle I owned myself was a Stevens Model 53B single shot. Made in 1934. Paid $5 in 1965.

I bought my grandson a Savage Rascal .22 single shot a few years ago, it has a child sized stock. He's mostly outgrown it now. Now he shoots one of my AR's with the telescoping stock back in a couple of notches.

Welcome to the forum !
Love bolt action single shot .22 rifles.
I learned on a Remington 510 , a long time ago at Boy Scout Summer Camp.

Taught my daughter how to shoot with Winchester 67A.
Same for my neighbor's son.

A single shot .22 rifle makes for a excellent rifle to learn with...as well as a simple and fun shooting rifle for an adult .

It has a top loading ramp and when loaded the safety came on so once loaded it was on safe until you clicked the safety off. Iron sights only. Very accurate.

First rifle owned is a Winchester model 121 .22 single shot with a 4x scope.
