Hey looks like the weather is going to be bad. This is rain or shine right?

Yes, rain or shine. The good news is it's steel so at least our targets won't wash away

I've got two pop ups I'll bring for the dynamic range and we will probably set up on the concrete on the silhouette range to stay dry.

I could use two more pop ups for Saturday's 90% chance of rain. I'd like one for each shooting stage on the rifle line.

I'm not 100% sure that I can get mine into my car but I'll check this afternoon and if I can then I'll bring it. I had planned on trying to find something to cover the guns with anyway.

I have a trunk that is so small that I can't fit my long gun case in, and my 48" has to go diagonal. I'm stuck and unfortunately can't be of service.

I'll bring an umbrella, a small tarp and rain gear. It's the northwest after all

We will be on both the Silhouette and Dynamic ranges.

Thanks all for coming out. With 90% chance of bad weather we had 85% good - A few brief showers and a little wind kicked up once or twice. I am struck by how much people enjoy doing this. I may have to squeeze another event in Dec/Jan time frame since weather doesn't seem to be a factor in holding people back.

Another shout out to Chris and Pete for the new targets. You guys put a lot of work in and I'm grateful.

I'd also like to thank the guys for helping me with setup. We pounded setup out in an hour flat. You guys rock.

Prizes were donations by The Trophy Pro's, Igloo and a little ammo out of my personal stash.

Congratulations to our Overall Champion Caleb R with an overall score of 128.16. This is actually the first time the OC also shot Top Pistol & Top Rifle scores. This young man was on fire!

Since Caleb can only win once Top Pistol went to Brandon S. with a top pistol score of 66.23. Less than 3 seconds separated the top 4 pistol shooters.

Top Rifle went to Steven U with a score of 67.06.

Top Lady went to Kate S with an overall score of 290.66 - lots of opportunity here ladies; only had 2 women shooting the full course.

Top Youth went to our only youth shooter Ryan T - however, Ryan was a contender taking 3rd overall and placing top 4 in both pistol and rifle. It's also worth mentioning that Caleb was a youth shooter earlier this year. It's exciting to see young shooters taking up the sport.

Thanks for all who helped and participated. Our schedule for next year is set:

Feb 14th - bring your valentine
May 9th - bring your mom
July 3rd - It's a Friday - can you think of any better way to celebrate freedom than shooting?
Nov 8th - Going to try a Sunday shoot and see what happens

I might try to squeeze in a Dec 20th (2014) - I hit every other family members birthday weekend this year - I wouldn't want my wife to feel left out

This was an awesome time. It was my son and wife's first time ever and we all had a blast. I'd be down for another on 12/20! We can bring a cake for your wife!

Besides, my son beat me by .03 so I need a rematch!
