I recently picked up a new mark iv 22/45 pistol. The baseline model. Took it to tritac for the 1st time Sunday and was surprised how bad I shot with it.
Not sure if it was due to the federal auto match ammo or the stock sights on it. I just couldn't get as tight of groups as I was getting with my subcompact 9s, p365xl and xd, which both have tritium sights.
The black sights on the mark are a little harder on the eyes and the auto match is definitely subpar ammo. I'm gonna order a new front sight from tandemkross and use the cci ammo my next trip to the range. See if my grouping improves.
Just curious if other have experience with auto match ammo. My shots seemed to go left of aim and many went up and left. Meanwhile with the 9s I can keep fist size groups at 10 yards but not so much with the .22.
