Well, kinda sorta - the one on the left was MADE in 1966 as a commemorative to the 1866.

I am not sure of the calibers the original Yellow Boy was chambered for.

I would suggest a Lyman or marbles tang sight instead of a scope.

A Lyman 66 or period correct 56 receiver peep sight would also be a excellent option.
With that said...
You will have to drill and tap the receiver for this sight option...since the receiver wasn't drilled and tapped as standard , at this time. ( 1946 )

Something else you COULD do is get a Williams universal dovetail mount and install one of their peep sight adapters on it.

It puts the peep a little farther away from your eye but you can get the 'eye cups' in different sizes to 'fit' your vision. It works pretty well actually.

That's about as silly as putting a scope on that fine Winchester.
