A pre-war Izhevsk produced M91/30, still chambered in 7.62x54R, with full matching serial numbers. Complete with sling and cleaning rod, this rifle is great for any purpose, whether as a hunting rifle, range toy, reenactment kit, or a reliable and versatile SHTF weapon.
Pre-war Nagants had much fewer concessions than their wartime counterparts, as Russia had the luxury of time to produce higher quality weapons. All serial numbers match, and the stock is in near perfect condition, only the varnish being damaged by age. Considering that, it is most likely that it was issued somewhere out east, possibly staying in Izhevsk as a guard's weapon, and never saw combat, avoiding the onslaught of Operation Barbarossa. Bore is about as clean as can be expected from an 80 year old gun, and still a straight shooter.
