So I'm looking at this Springfield Trophy Match to buy.
Only fully adjustable rear sight handguns I've owned have been revolvers.

So forgive this crazy question.

Is the rear sight blade supposed to be able to be pressed up and down
kinda being spring loaded ? I have not shot the gun yet, only handled it.

It's an LPA cut sight with Springfield Armory on the side so not real sure of the
manufacture.

Thanks in advance.

That's the way they're designed.

Bomar, Wilson, STI, and the manufacturer that makes Dawson, Ed Brown, Kensight brands all use a spring (or two) to push the blade up.
