Be aware the serial numbers on most sites are about 2 years off, i had a 30 30 serial # 150xxx that lettered by Cody at 1902. the only true source for correct serial numbers is the Cody museum. according to my book The Winchester 1894 there were just over 60,000 made by the turn of the century. so your gun was made in 1902. what does the front sight look like?
Per Winchester own Official Records:

Model 1898 year production (Mdl. 1894) ended with serial # 147684
Model 1899 year production (Mdl. 1894) ended with seral # 183371
Ops serial # as reported here, is 1634xx,
literally, putting it smack in the middle of production year 1899.

Not an expert in any way, but I do believe the very best source for finding info on these rifles is the Winchester Collector's Forum.

They like to have people list their rifles on their survey forums.

Through reading their surveys I was lucky to determine that my M 94 Carbine 20" barrel, .30WCF was manufactured in late Dec '41-early Jan '42

So what you are looking for is a SRC stock(I know it does not have a ring, but Winchester just called them SRC without loop) they are not easy to find, the metal is just a mostly flat peice that comes around the top(different then the Cresent or Shotgun butt plate)
Hope that helps, I can dig mine out of the safe if you need a pic.

Something to consider here it the tang of the receiver.
Not all eras of 1894's have the same shape , and such.
If you do look for a replacement butt stock...look for one that is made to fit your era 1894.
The same is to be said for the butt plate.

Ok,
So we are all on the same page(and I am not an expert, but hope this helps)
3 carbines all pre 64, right side is post 1940, some have plastic buttplates, this one is checkered. Notice the short forend extending past barrel band
Middle is 1929 to 1940, shotgun butplate, long forend.
Left is early Carbine(some were walnut some were gumwood) long forend, and Carbine butt plate.
You are looking for an early carbine stock.
Any original(pre 64) besides a deluxe or a model 55 will work. I can proabably get you a decent late carbine stock, the aftermarket ones require a lot of work, and the finish is not easy to get to match.
Good luck.

I have at least one of each caliber, 25-35, 30-30, 32-40, .32 Win Special, and 38-55. I would like to downsize some as well, I need a 66, 73 and a 86 as well:)
I do have my dads old repo Iron Henry in 44-40
These are a couple of project guns,
Both 25-35
