Hello,
For sale today is a Gewehr 88 / Commission Rifle 88. This one was made by Steyr in 1893. I'll add a photo of the stamp/year shortly as well. Asking $500. This one is original without any of the pre war and world war 1 era upgrades which would've included welding a bottom plate on, adding a stripper clip guide, as well as a cutout for the spitzer ammo. I pulled the barrel shroud off when I bought this rifle to clean it and the barrel underneath and looks as clean as the day it left the factory.
