father's day
Father's Day is a celebration honoring fathers and celebrating fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society. In Catholic Europe, it has been celebrated on March 19 (St. Joseph's Day) since the Middle Ages. This celebration was brought by the Spanish and Portuguese to Latin America, where March 19 is often still used for it, though many countries in Europe and the Americas have adopted the U.S. date, which is the third Sunday of June (falling on June 17 in 2018). It is celebrated on various days in many parts of the world, most commonly in the months of March, April and June. It complements similar celebrations honoring family members, such as Mother's Day, Siblings Day and Grandparents Day.
Since it is the day we honor our fathers, I thought this might be an interesting "trip down memory lane" thread. Is there a firearm that brings back memories of your father? Say his favorite hunting rifle, or a firearm brought when teaching to shoot or hunt, or an heirloom passed down, etc...
I know it's a bit early but I wanted to put a shout out to all you Dads here on NWF.com on our special day.
My gift came early and I was well and truly surprised with a new Weber Genesis II LP grill. My old Weber Silver has finally succumbed to old age and corroded burners after almost 20 years...
Well I got hit with The question last night.
I know our funds are restricted (probably less then $200 to just guess) so a firearm is most likely out.
I like stuff that I'll have for awhile, like a knife over Ammo but I have no idea what to ask for.
Another all in one set of tools, some kind...
