A bucket or pail is typically a watertight, vertical cylinder or truncated cone, with an open top and a flat bottom, attached to a semicircular carrying handle called the bail.
I've got 4 "buckets" of Mountain House Classic food, still sealed/unopened and less than a year old.
These are the SAME "buckets" being sold on Amazon for $76 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00955DUHQ/) and are found locally at REI and other stores for even more in my experience...
