You will need to bring your own trigger lock or buy one there.
In, out, and on with life, the only snag being that they will not let you leave the store without a trigger lock due to some federal law that everyone else ignores. They sell trigger locks for $10 just in case you don't have one. The lock is not required to be on the firearm, you just have to have the lock in your possession with the firearm.
Great place to meet up for private firearm sales. Transfers have always been quick and easy for me. $25 fee + a few more bucks if you don't bring your own ID copies.
All of the firearms they have are listed on the website if you want to check that out ahead of time.
The people I've dealt with have been friendly, welcoming, and helpful
Told me where all the nearby coffee places were after a long drive
Cons
They have their own policy about gun locks, and charge for copies of IDs. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things IMO, but some people care very much
Come for the FFL, stay for the movies
My review is required to have more characters so hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Prices are a little higher but what can you expect from a dem state with panic buys
Been there a while since way before I even turned 18. My first transfer there took long but my second one was under 30 minutes in and out. When I wasn't able to drive home one of the guys even gave me a ride. Amazing customer service here, would recommend to anyone getting a transfer in the tigard or Portland area. Hopefully their selection increases
The team of employees are engaged with there customers and I've not had to ever wait long, they are limiting the numbers in the store due to Tigard health idiots,.
often have new pistols in stock at non piss-take prices
quick and reliable- no messing around
all the staff are great- there isn't that "one guy"
Cons
no free coffee or kettlecorn
or tea....
Really the best place, whether buying or selling from the classifieds on here, or transferring something from Buds, CDNN, Aim etc or your auction wins. They'll contact the FFLs and exchange info quickly, and they'll call you promptly when your gun comes in.
If you're sending out a gun, they'll make that quick and easy too- you can provide a color copy, (both sides,) of your DL, or they'll make one for $2. Then they'll get it boxed up and sent out pronto. They have some USPS Flat rate Priority Mail boxes, or you can provide your own, unsealed box, though shipping will likely cost more.
Worth dropping by too, just to see what they might have for sale in their cases- there was a stack of new Glocks last week.
I've done more than 20 transactions this past year, ( so I should have written this ages ago), and each one has been utterly hassle free- The guys, (and lady), there are consistently pleasant & professional, which is more than you can say about me.
Professional / Firm/ Fair/ & Consistant treated with respect everytime
Cons
They need more locations ie: Stores
I have been treated with respect every time I have gone there to meet up with Oregon Resident . My first choice for transfers in Tigard area
Professional and Knowledgeable
I was buying a gun from a friend recently, and we received a very fast & friendly service on the transfer from a young man working there. Due to Covid concerns, they were allowing only one transaction inside the store at a time(you wait outside if there are others), but that's understandable.
Years ago, before I got U.S. citizenship, they helped me with a weird transfer involving UPS shipping in/out. Because I was a legal resident(green card), background check took more work & longer, but people working there then were more than happy to help then, too.
Went there to do a purchase/transfer and the gentleman who answered the door, and did the transfer, was one of the friendliest people that I have ever come across. Had us in and out of there in no time at all, well except for the time it took for me to do the paper work and the maybe a minute for the approval to come back . I'll go back.
Bought a firearm online and had it transferred here. Was delighted by the experience.
Unlike multiple other FFLs in Portland I've dealt with:
They have a web site
It looks like it was created in the 21st century
It has all of their policies clearly spelled out
They answer emails
They don't open the package until you're there so you can inspect it
They call you within an hour of receiving the shipment
They have their license registered with many online companies and they keep it updated.
Considering some other FFLs I've dealt with, this is very professional.
The shop is clean and neat.
An earlier review referred to a "chubby blonde lady" behind the counter, which I think is very rude (she's not chubby). I talked with her while my background check was processing and she was a lot of fun to chat with - learned a lot about the pawn business in about 10 minutes from her.
They have a NWFA sign in their shop! Sweet.
Be sure to note their policies. Your gun must leave the store with a trigger lock - but who doesn't have a dozen of those laying around at home? Just bring one, otherwise you have to buy one. And they need a color copy of IDs when doing transfers from non-FFLs - either bring one or buy one. Policies are all laid out on their web site.
Can only base my review on this one transaction but this was one of the best FFLs I've dealt with for online transfers.
