"Released after being issued a summons". Well, that will teach him! So, he is free to try to stab the next clumsy person who spills something on his wife. Hopefully it will happen somewhere that actually keeps violent offenders off the streets for more than a minute.

Back in the '90s, a buddy and I were at a restraunt having steaks and fries. I reached over and stole one of his fries and he stabbed me in the thigh under the table with his steak knife (not deep, about an inch). I was really pissed as I was wearing brand new Levis, and they were expensive, and I didn't make much money then...not to mention that I screamed like a girl in front of our server who I was infatuated with. The stitches and meds were also unwelcome expenses.

Got revenge a week later. I smacked him in the shin with a bokken when he was diving into the pool. Watching him limp after me as I was running away laughing my bubblegum off was great. We look back on those times and just smile.

From the owner: "in the grand scheme of things this was a minor, although admittedly, unusual incident..."

o_O... what kind of shenanigans take place in this "upscale" restaurant, if a dude trying to stab people is "minor"...

Thank goodness Jersey has such strict gun laws... I mean, seriously, if a gun saw something like that happen it would've gone on a killing spree... statistically speaking.

Is it happening more, or do we all just have cameras with us at all times?

Or late dumasstia.
Working in healthcare I get to see a lot of this. When people start to slip due to age the filter is often the first thing to go. Some times its shocking to see it. Some go like this guy, anger and attack at any little thing. I often say if I start to slip I pray I go out like the George H did. He was grabbing the butt's of the cute girls taking care of him instead of taking a swing at them. :s0140:

Early???

He's 75.....
75 is early to act like this over something this simple. Most when they start to hit that age certainly slow down. Will often forget where the keys and such are more often. FEW of them will up and attack someone like this that early. There are a ton of people this guys age who are totally safe to own guns still. This guy? I would say they need to make damn sure he does not have a firearm. The closer you get to 75 the more you will NOT think of it as "old" :s0140:
