Got my L1A1 built by Mark Graham at ARS back 10 years ago. Best 7.62 semi shooter I've owned. Need parts Dealers Warehouse down in Kalifornia still has a pretty good supply including locking shoulders. Welcome!.

Imagine if the FAL had beat the M-14 in the MBR competition? From what I've read, it was close, but no cigar. No wood, and not designed here though.

There was a thread over on FalFiles about ol' dirty, an FAL that had thousands of rounds shot through it with zero cleaning. Not a recommended maintenance regime, but it did prove a point. That rifle was just nasty, but still functioned.

He's doing some work for the L1A1 now, Metacol on a spare lower and unissued gas block. Guys meticulous and knowledgable, probably the best FN-FAL guy out there?.

Used to check on Old Dirty as well!. Hashed up as an outhouse bucket but still functioned after all that abuse. Why it earned that right arm of the free world moniker.
