Love the old WWII era planes. I hope they make their goal. My dad bought me a flight on a T-6 Texan about 15 years ago. Since I had my pilot's license, the pilot let me take the stick for a bit once we were in the air. We flew in formation with 2 other T-6's, did loops, rolls, cuban 8's. It was a blast. And listening to that old engine was just awesome.

We were at the coast 2 weeks ago and I heard that tell-tale rumble of the engines of a B-17 and saw one fly overhead. Really spectacular to still see them flying.

I was working for AAA in Kentucky back in 2010 and had a call at the airport. They had a B-29 and a P51 there that were restored and had been giving tours.
I was taking it the view when they fired up and took off over me. It was pretty cool.
There's something amazing about the sound of those P51 fighters.
