WTS: National Postal Meter M1 Carbine - Bavarian Rural Police
This is a great example of the WWII workhorse.
This carbine, serial number 148xxxx has a 5-43 dated Underwood barrel w/flaming bomb.
The majority of the parts are blued with the bayonet lug parkerized.
At the end of WWII this carine went to Bavaria to serve with the Rural Police.
There, a different rear sight may have been placed on the foreward reciever,
as shown by the solder in the area. The M1 Carbine stamp is un-altered.
Later, the Carbine was sent to Austria as shown by the LTKG stamp on the triggerguard.
It's a nice, basic carbine with some interesting history.
Overall G-VG Condition. 5-15rnd mags included with rifle.
