Grandpa's go to security gun. Good condition: minor surface rust, spots where bluing is light, and paint over spray on stock. Recently field stripped and cleaned using balistol - I recommend buy deep clean. Action smooth, barrel is in great shape. Asking $800. Buyer pays transfer fees. Preference is cash, but I will consider trades; desired: Bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in 308 (example: Remington 700 with optic). I might consider an AR-10 or even AR-15 depending on the setup.

In front of the serial # there should be a letter designation: C, D, or E if memory serves me correctly. Also, is the barrel marked 2-3/4" ?

Sir, The firearm Designation is "E" … I could not find a 2-3/4 marking on the barrel. One side of the barrel is stamped with manufactured in New Haven, CT and the other side says "Winchester Model 97 12 GA Full". Happy to send pics if you are interested.
