Winchester Model 94 - 30-30

Letting go of my Winchester Model 94 30-30. I'm trying to track down the origin of the emblem on the stock to see if it's original. I'll grab the serial number soon. It's in great shape and fired very little. Excellent wood! More pictures available.

I've never seen Winchester place a medallion this far forward on any of their commemorative models. Home made homage perhaps?

Don't know. I'm not the original owner. If someone went project on it they did a pretty damn good job.

I'd like to see a photo of the bottom of the receiver to determine date of manufacture...

That's really interesting. Definitely someone retrofitted the stock with that challenge coin. Makes for a pretty cool mod.

I always wondered but was never able to find anything about that coin online. You guys are apparently more resourceful.

Here is a photo with the serial number. Appears to be a 1971 manu if I'm looking it up right.
