He sent me one, as the description says, the receiver is not stainless.

I have one it is not for sale the barrel is nickel plated looks like chrome, and the receiver is stainless with a factory folding stock is the way they were when retired from Coast Guard.

I've had both versions of the Winchester 1300 stainless Marine. One has a polished nickel plating on the receiver and the other has has a matte black finish on the receiver. The former is the version I have currently. While I prefer the looks of the polished receiver they are both equally weather resistant as they are aluminum and not steel. Hope this helps.

This is a very good deal on an excellent shotgun by the way.
