This is a Winchester Model 11 SL 12ga, Semi Auto Shotgun that was Winchesters very first model. Unique 'Pull The Barrel' cocking action. Made from 1921 -1928 with a total of 103,246 produced. Nicknamed the "Head Buster". S/N on this one is 75XXX. This was re blued back in the late 60's by a Gunsmith named Joe Head, who used a Cyanide or Arsenic bluing process to attain a very deep dark glossy finish. This has not been buffed to any extent. Everything is sharp and clear and the Legend can be easily read. It is so shiny that it is difficult to get the best photo's of it ....... It just plain glistens.
It functions perfectly and sports a high polished Nickel Plated Bolt. The barrel is stamped as 'Full' choke. The ring/sight combination at the end of the barrel is factory. Not sure what else to add other then the woods is perfect with no chips or cracks. Recoil pad is also in very good condition. Asking price is $395 for a fine example of the Model 11.
