winchester model 70 30-06 SPRG.
This rifle was manufactured in 1964 but just missed the pre64 status, Serial #711XXX. It's in great shape with only a few blemishes on the stock. This rifle doesn't come close to look'n like it's 46yr's old. It has a new 3-9x40 Bushnell (sportsman) scope., leather sling. I took this one along with 5 other hunting rifle's I have to the range before buck season and dialed it in starting at 100yd's.
The only reason's I'm selling it is to buy a 300 win. mag. for my son and it has been a safe queen for far to long.
The Standard catalog of firearm's(2009 edition) prices this at:
excellent-$1150
very good-$925
good-$600
fair-$500
poor-$500
The pricing note says:"the value of the rifle with respect to the usable action. Model 70 unaltered receivers bring $500 regardless of the condition of the barrel and stock".

My price is $450 "FIRM"
which is far less than the value of the rifles worth (not to mention the new scope). I would just like see it go to someone that will appreciate it like I have.
The only trade would be for a 300 win. mag. for my son.

Thanx for your time, S.Barclay
