Winchester 30-30 Saddle Ring Carbine Trapper size with coveted 16 inch barrel. Built around 1979 prior to the company selling and becoming USRA. No dreaded pin safety. Bluing on barrel and lever are vvg. Receiver has lost its blue. Stock is handsome and lever action is positive and crisp. True prewar SRC Trappers are running $6k or more. These shooters do not come up often.
Awesome truck or under the bed gun with a quick swing for long brush or clearing your lawn. I have attached a photo comparing a 20" carbine to the 16" Trapper.

I wish my wallet wasn't busy doing other things right now. :( Also, and mostly JMHO, that receiver looks correct to me for a Winnie from that time frame. Much like purple Ruger's, Winchester had issues with matching finish and metallurgy for most of the 70's so they look "well loved" though normal use.

Except these Trappers are getting hard to find. When you do, they are usually st 8-1100. Threading it would kill the value. I'd hack up a common less desirable model. This one is underpriced. Had I not just bought one Monday, I'd jump on this.
