I lived off of SE Wildcat Mt. 50 years ago and found that there was some local hillbilly trailer trash folks that were a problem dumping stuff up there, but then there was also some folks from the Portland area adding to the piles of trash.
Publishers Paper Co. finally had enough and blocked off all the entry roads leading into their lands, so my neighbors and I started seeing traffic on our dead end roads by people looking for alternative ways in.

Here's my report on the Wildcat Cleanup May 30th, '26. Full details and photos in the Results link below.

We had 31 people there and got 9 of the 15 target shooting sites cleaned up! We filled the dump truck of Clackamas County Forestry and a 2nd utility trailer, plus we had a trailer with recyclable metal. In addition, the AntFarm Youth Crew cleaned off all the graffiti from the boulders at that one site. That was a lot of boulders to clean!

Target shooting is a serious kind of recreation. Especially when it's done on public lands. Public Safety and Fire Prevention are two of the top priorities to consider when choosing a place to shoot. Please choose a GOOD place to shoot! And have fun and be safe.
