Why no M&P 10MM in FDE??

If anyone has a handle on how S&W thinks, I'd be interested in knowing if the new 10MM M&P will be available in Flat Dark Earth [FDE] in the future / near future?

Predictably because they are selling all they produce in black. When that's no longer the case, producers start to play with introducing colors and minor variations.

The best answer I can give you is "probably not" because after going through their website, the only way to get an M&P pistol in FDE is to choose a 5" barrel in 9mm or .40 S&W. Every other combination I tried is black only so I don't anticipate them releasing the 10mm version in FDE at all, especially since the only choice you have on that model is safety/no safety.

It's a known fact that baby poop won't stick to a 10mm so..

Many of the firearms coming out in colors other than blued are being cerakoted at the factory. I don't think waiting for Smith to do it will be any better than just having one painted.
