As the parent of 5 boys (and a girl, but girls are angels right?).... if I found out someone did some bubblegum like this to one of my boys...................

The conversation would go something like this:

"You chose a whoopin' from a stranger over getting handed to me?"
"Yessir" (and my boys do call me, and all adults, sir [or ma'am])
"Then I guess you made your choice, didn't you."
"Yessir."

What else needs be said? Kid learned his lesson that day.

It's not right or wrong. You can make arguments for either. But no matter what: it was a consequence, and we should all be glad there was a consequence. Seems to be a rare thing, these days.

If more azz whopins were were given to disrespectful smart mouthed brats the world would be a much better place!. Id say that kid got just what he needed!.

When I was in Jr High many of the teachers had plywood paddles and would give you swats . Even the music teacher gave me a good one for smartin off. If they didn't have one they could send ya down to the principal, he had a dandy . They never bothered to involve the parents ( thank god).

That's exactly what today's kids need....
1.) a whoopin
2.) someone who cares enough to teach them a lesson
3.) refer to # 1 if # 2 fails

I love the fact that the kid was given a choice and he picked his punishment, he didn't just get a whoopin.

Reading the comments after the video it seems that a lot of them were in favor, can't help but think it would be a much different story if the spanker where a white man!.
