Pics down. For some reason I thought it was a .44 bulldog, no ideaIIRC some guy here found a perfect condition bulldog in his flower bed or something.. and turned it in to the police.

From what I have read ( I lack real world intelligence ) while trying to solve your puzzle... the early models came with hard rubber grip panels, and the later ones were plastic.The grips, would you know if they're metal?

Possible. I'd argue this was made in 1830's and the gun was circa 1898.
