It is steel.
9.5 " diameter
16.5" tall
Weight 7-8lbs.
There are three tack welds and one rivet securing the bottom trim ring, and container bottom.
The handle appears to have been extruded, rather than rolled
The two ears to attach the handle are secured by rivets
The holes in the ears appear to have been punched rather than drilled
It would appear it was not intended to be water tight
The photo makes it to be tapered from the bottom up, but the diameter is uniform from top to bottom.
I am not able to identify the finish but it does not appear to be any form of paint, or liquid coating.
