well murder is against the law... 🤷‍♂️
This law doesn't make a distinction between lawful and unlawful killing 😉

I'm being tongue in cheek, and I recognize the good book nuances the issue in case law. Not unlike what the Anglo-Saxon legal system has done throughout its history.

I've always understood the more accurate translation to be ...
Thou shalt not murder.

I have served in 4 combat tours.....I have never murdered.
Killed...well that is a subject best left alone.
I do know I am at peace with what I have done.

In any event....lets not drift off too far into Biblical areas....NWFA rules and all.....:D

What is 2A absolutism? 🤔

I would say apparently (and unfortunately) this

On the topic of "2A absolutism", what differs it from "Originalist" (as labeled Justices Alito and Thomas' opinions on 2A and the Bill of Rights in general)?
I suspect that there are some restrictions on "arms" that Justices Thomas and Alito would support. Justice Thomas authored Bruen, in which he describes the "text, history, and tradition" approach to 2A cases.

In all seriousness, I'm regards to the op, this is absolutism.

"Amendment II
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

Read it as it's written, add nothing, remove nothing. Que Sé ra sé ra. I don't know if I said that right, that's fancy talk for, "it is what it is."

"Thou shalt not kill."
Incorrect, "Thou shall not MURDER"

Big difference. During Nam, our Pastor taught all of us teenagers the difference.
He was a WWII island hopping Marine, in the same unit my ole man was in.

I do not sleep at night for what I have done, its because of the friends I lost while over there.

Some say it only applies to "bearable" arms. Yet some people own old tanks, and could get a DD permit for the main gun, I suppose.

Many fighters and bombers are in private hands.

Curiouser and curiouser.

I wouldn't be surprised if the OP was an investigative journalist. I mean really…..I haven't said anything in this thread, because I fear our responses may come back to bite us in the keister
