Mentoring new hunters?
Helping Veterans?
Teaching kids about gun safety?
Helping with elderly?
Saving the whales?
Restoring the fish population?
Feeding the hungry?
Restoring traditional American values?

Many of us have special causes that are near to the heart and it's good to share that with others. People tend to think, if you are on this forum, you are only passionate about guns, but, we all know there is more to life than just guns (said no one... EVER!).

So share what you are passionate about and how you contribute to that cause. Should be a good read, and perhaps an eye opener, for all of us!

I fall under number six, and my GF ridicules me for having only three things on my mind. Fishing, shooting, and well I'll leave the third to your imagination...
;)
I am also passionate about understanding people and the human experience through many lenses. :)

It's that 3rd one we're all concerned about. Please expand! :)

I love introducing people to firearms. Teaching new shooters marksmanship, safety, and the differance between competition and self defense skills. I have changed alot of minds with just showing people how hard shooting is at 25 yards.

That could get kind of deep (the understanding people part!).

The human experience through many lenses is rather cool. I enjoy that as well. My best experience was in '76 when I toured with a group of young people called "Up With People". Since that was the bi-centenial year, our group stayed in the US. We would go town to town, city to city and perform our song and dance to spread the message of unity in the world. Each town we visited, we stayed with a 'Host' family. It was like a box of chocolates... you never know what you get! One night we stayed in a ritzy house next to the Wrigley mansion (chewing gum) with swimming pool, breakfast in bed, the whole nine yards, and the next we slept on a kitchen table in a Hopi Indian hut. We learned to adapt, learn and accept.

Performed at a high school in the South side of Chicago where kids were fist fighting on the school steps as we drove up in the bus while others were smoking pot and watching the fight. Cops just strolled on by. We had to have police escort to visit the restrooms! No one in the audience was hip to our music and we could sense that. Someone snuck behind stage and killed the power, so, we just played louder with the acustics. Finally, we decided to skip the standard routine and jump to the modern music part. We had kids dancin in the isles doin the 'Bump' and having a blast! They loved us after that!

Man, I learned a lot, in '76. It takes many lenses to make up our awesome America. So glad I got to experience a little bit of it.

I love the woods.
It's a cold mitress that stole my heart long ago.
I don't see her enough, but my heart is out there.

And my kids/wife.
I was a bit dead inside until I had kids. They showed me how broken I was. They taught me about love. Unconditional love.

I'm passionate about my inalienable right to keep and bear arms. I spend lots of time talking to others and doing my best to reverse the demonizing of firearms with facts and truths.

Oh, and I like beer too. :D
