WASHINGTON Just one day after President Obama tapped Vice President Joe Biden to lead an initiative on gun violence, Jon Adler was at its first meeting, with Cabinet secretaries and organizations representing law enforcement.
Not much lead time, but no matter: Adler, national president of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association, had a list of policy changes -- from legislative to regulatory to "tactical" coordination -- at the ready, in detail. He cited, chapter and verse, the law that makes it a misdemeanor to knowingly possess a firearm in a school zone. He wanted that upgraded to a felony.

Seriously? An ex-Fed and the best you can do to protect our children is "Gun Free Zone - We Really Mean It!"

"Oh ... never mind we will just take our "assault rifles" and put them back in the safe at home" said friends Adam Lanza, Seung Cho, Kip Kinkle, Dylan Kliebold and Eric Harris after hearing they would be in serious trouble and not just regular trouble now that the law had changed from a misdemeanor to a felony for taking guns on campus.

Wow...I guess this means that the Sandy Hook shooter will never be able to legally purchase a handgun. What a pity.

The stupidity displayed by these people sometimes is beyond imagining. They've totally given up the pretense already that this is about the children and are into full on gun grabbing mode. The only reason to even change this ridiculous statute is to give them the means to confiscate all weapons from anyone who is stupid enough to get caught in a school zone with a firearm. A determined shooter sure as hell isn't going to care if it's a felony to possess a gun in a school zone. Unbelievable.
