Up for sale is an old Bayard Arms double barrel 12 gauge shotgun. It was made in Belgium and is marked on the top.of the barrel with "PATENT 488366 DECB 20 1892." It also is marked "PIEPER BREECH" on the right barrel and "TWISTED STEEL, BELGIUM" on the left barrel. It seems to be in fair condition but I am not a collector or knowledgeable in that department. The barrels are about 32 inches long. This belonged to my great grandfather and shot black powder shells. That's about the extent of my knowledge on it. I do know that modern 12 gauge shells IF fired in this shotgun is considered unsafe due to the higher pressures the modern shells have. SO I am recommending you don't fire this thing and am selling it as an "over the mantle/fireplace" display/conversation piece.
