So, I used to give all brass that I don't reload to a couple of friends, but it's adding up faster now, so...... what's the value? Trade or cash??

I shoot a bit, and currently have a full 5 gal bucket, and about another half full, and adding to them a couple of times a week or so. Mixed brass, mostly 9mm, 10mm, 556, 300aac, and various bits of others. Not cleaned or anything. Full bucket is a little over 50 lbs.

It all depends on who needs it. 9mm and 556 are easy to find and collect. 10mm and 300 are less common. I'd would do a little search for new brass and do 50-75% of that depending on type of brass.

If you're not wanting it, I'll gladly take it off your hands. Even provide a replacement bucket.
As for the value, it's worth whatever feel it's worth to you for your time/effort.

I have a couple of people I can give it to, but as it's adding up much quicker lately, I figured I might as well get something out of it.

It's a good question, "what's it worth?"

$2.40 a pound at the local recycling yard. Fifty pounds would get you $120.
I "gave away" about a gallon of mixed, dirty .223/5.56 brass a couple of years ago for $10. I knew it was worth more than that, but I wasn't going to use it and basically let someone buy me lunch at McDonalds for my time.
I've been saving up all of my .223/5.56 and 9mm brass with plans to potentially do the same thing again, cuz I'm not likely to want to reload any of it.

Ok, just weighed it all. A bucket full is actually about 80 lbs. Currently have about 140 lbs. It is available for sale or trade if there's a reasonable offer. Obviously cash is good lol, but open to most anything firearm related, as long as something I can use. Brass content value at the recycling yard is about $330.

If no decent offer, no worries, I'll post it in the classifieds section soon. Not in a hurry to get rid of, it's just sitting here, and gets added to every few days or so.
