I wondered this too? I assumed revolvers would strike harder than striker fired pistols.
I had a DW .44 mag that had light primer strikes. Factory fixed it.

It depends on the firing pin spring and mainspring as well as the shape of the firing pin. Many who get a "trigger job" have the springs changed and reduced in order to have a gun that seems to function with less resistance. If you look at a bunch of fired cases you'll see that the primer strikes vary widely...So generally, would a revolver have a stronger/harder strike on a primer than say a hammer fired semi?
And hammer fired semi more than striker? <- This makes sense to me.
Got about 800 small rifle primers and I am low on small pistol primers, can I use them in my 40s&w loads? Will I have to adjust the powder charge down a bit?
If you want to come over to my side of the bridge say as far as Gig Harbor I'll trade you 1 for 1.Got about 800 small rifle primers and I am low on small pistol primers, can I use them in my 40s&w loads? Will I have to adjust the powder charge down a bit?
