Yes, Google has been fined multiple times for not following its privacy protections. In 2017, Google was fined €2.4 billion by the European Commission for violating the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) by processing users' personal data without their consent. And in 2016, Google was fined $22.5 million by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for misleading users about how it collected and used their personal data.

These fines are a sign that Google is not always following its own privacy policies. Google has pledged to do better, but it remains to be seen whether the company will be able to keep its promises.
