Do you have a required items list, such as range finder, 120rnds ammo, etc. or a recommended items list such as, 'we will be shooting out of a swamp, so we recommend waders, mosquito repellent, and a Cajun accent?
OP hasn't posted in a while. And hasn't responded to my PM in over three weeks. Be advised.

I sent a PM close to when this was originally posted and still have not received a message back...

Has me a little concerned but I'll keep prepping for it for now....

So what are the dates for this class - has this been ironed out yet?
no because no one has paid me yet. i don't want to pay out of pocket to rent a classroom for a whole day and then no one ends up signing up. people always say they're gonna do stuff but
If you had to say in your experience what's the best long range round for 1000m plus
best? well there are a lot. it would be kind of impossible to nail down one round. But I think the most versatile is the 300 WinMag. Just due to the ease of reloading the availability of materials and the ballistics.

no one sent me money to sign up for the class so I just kind of put it on the back burner for a couple weeks. I'm still around. People always say they're gonna do stuff but actually falling through with it as a different story. I don't wanna book a classroom for all day and pay out-of-pocket when nobody's gonna send me money to sign up for the class. Lots of people said they wanted to come out but nobody sent me money until I get at least two or three people. I'm not gonna book the classroom. I did offer to teach one on one classes, which I have no problem doing. Which I actually think might even be a better idea. But yeah, I'm still here, man. BTW. I understand your concern with me and not posting in a few weeks. I'm actually in the process of opening a new business right now so I've been pretty busy with that. I've been on this forum since I think 2011. It's been a very long time and I've dealt with a lot of people on this form buying and selling things and I don't have one single bad review or one negative experience with anybody. That's got a count for something. You won't find a single person on here that will say anything bad about me and a lot of people on this forum know who I am.

I agree with the desire to shoot further out but I disagree with the concept that it is hunting at those ranges.
I see your point. i would never suggest anyone (even experienced as i am) actively seek to purposely take shots that far on game. What i am saying is if you follow what im teaching that its POSSIBLE to do so if needed. You never know man. The way things have been going in this country. We never know what's going to happen one day to the next. You never know you could be in a survival situation and you might need to take a shot that far just to get meat in your belly. Wouldn't it be better to know you could confidently take a shot that far if you absolutely have to. ? That's the point of kind of trying to make. this class is more for people who want to shoot far for fun at targets and also for people that want another tool in their toolbox of survival just in case something bad happens. As I mentioned previously, we never know what's going to happen day-to-day anymore in this country with the way the government is and our relations with other countries. Knowing how to shoot this far and hit target effectively is a very good skill to have in a war scenario.

I'm not telling you how to run a class, I can only tell you how I have done it. I rent (and pay for) the range in advance. Sometimes almost a year in advance. I then send out emails, face book posts and messages to the public as well as those who know me.

The burden of filling the class is on me. If I can't fill it or get enough students then I opt to refund or take a loss if need be. Luckily that's not had to happen yet but a lot of people aren't going to want to put up $$ for something that hasn't been solidified ahead of time.

And yes I've had people cancel and people no show, but if I do my part with marketing and prep I'm usually at least somewhat in the black.

Again, just my personal experience and procedure. This may or may not be right for you.

Hell, I thought you were kicking around the idea. Until there are dates, location, and a clear indication on your seriousness, my indication of interest is nothing more than that.
No reply to my PM confirmed that it was just an idea. Silence comes across Craigs-listy.

Not criticizing here, that's my interpretation of what has transpired. Like a typical ADD schmuck, I'm already onto the next shiny bubble.

This is the kind of thing I'd be willing to pay cash for, day-of but I'm not inclined to just send some guy hundreds over the Internet. A small deposit as a show of good faith, maybe, but not paid in full with no set time and place

I sent a PM back in September, not hearing and response back and being inactive for such a long period gave concerns.

Even with that, I have been putting together a basic platform in the hope the class will happen...

Been a rough month for extra funds, glad to hear something at least, I get it's hard to get a new business going...

Added a new caliber which I hate doing. Given my regular target shooting location of 200yds max. 300win mag.

Duly noted. All of that makes sense. Nothing you are saying is off. Maybe i'll just get the classroom THEN post the dates

to everyone i didn't get back to in the DM's. for some reason i didn't get the usual email notification i used to get when someone dm's me. if anyone knows how to turn this back on or if that's even possible or why that would be happening. It would be great if you could let me know in this thread. Also, I'm right in the middle of opening up another food cart in Saint Helens and I've been incredibly busy trying to get that ready. So my apologies if you thought I was trying to dodge answering anyone. i'm usually really good about that. if anyone takes a second to read any of the reviews people have left about me you'll see i'm actually the exact opposite type of person some of you are thinking i am. the lack of email notification coupled with me just being busy with my business apparently made a recipe for me looking like a flake. That's fine. my fault and i'll take that all on the chin. as soon as i get the classroom booked and get this put together a little better we can reconvene. I have a little bit better idea on how to go about this from a few people's feedback. Everything everyone said has been taken into consideration and I respect everybody's opinion and completely understand where everyone is coming from. Looks like I have a little bit of work to do before I proceed with this.

I agree on that...
i can see where you are coming from. makes sense. i don't disagree. maybe I'm going about this all wrong. I have taken some feedback from a few people and how to proceed with this a little bit better and I have a little bit better of a plan on how to do this. I'm flying by the seat of my pants on this cut me a break ha ha ha. I promise if I can get everybody in the same room, it will be good. Trust me. its on me to make that happen. this i know.

I'd have no problem doing a deposite down, even if it's a $50 one for show of interest from people and pay the rest in person.

Last classroom I attended was Earlier in the year for a decently known youtuber who I had met a few times before and that was a pay onsite classroom, the Paul Harrell Symposium...

Working towards a better optic and some Hornaday Match ammo, is the heavier 180gr ammo preferred?
