All this aesthetically pleasing talk in another thread has me circling back to this one ... hmmm. :D

I've got an 1873 uberti now. Will have to take some images for you. It's currently torn apart for an action job, though. So unless you want to see it in it's skivvies, images will have to wait.

I have an uberti 1873 chambered in 45 colt, it a Beautiful rifle they have done a fantastic job on it. I also own some Marlins, Winchester and a Rossi 92. I can say without a doubt that the fit finish is on par with Winchester but the toggle lock action is faster than the 92/94. ( sorry Browning I know 94,92 and 95 action is stronger)
1895 in 30-06 is on my buy list FYI

anyway I say buy away even know Winchester miroku makes a 1873 but it has a tang safety and they are about the same price.
