Type 38 ariaka for sale.

Non-matching assembly numbers. Decent bore with defined rifling and no muzzle wear. Stock in good shape besides minor crackes. Missing rear sight evelator button and spring.

Rifle was taken out of military service for school/university training use. Mum cancelled with the Kokura Arsenal stamp.

Yes, these "school" rifles are safe to shoot provided that there is nothing wrong with it. This is a regular military Type 38 rifle that was retired from service and given to the Japanese "Ministry of Education" for use in Japan's equivalent of the ROTC. Many of these were later pressed back into military service during WW2
