I get the frustration with the silly TSA rules, but why bring the dang thing in the first place when they know it's going to get confiscated. What effective stand is being taken? I fly practically every week and most TSA workers are just everyday Joe's doing an unpopular job. Doubt they have much leeway for an item like that.

I hear what you are saying but I'm betting the dang thing was in the bottom of a laptop pocket and the traveler didn't even think twice about it since it is after all a flash drive. I highly doubt he was "flashing" it around … (ha ha … get it, flashing? Okay I digress )

But … TSA showcases this confiscation as somehow making our lives safer? Really?

One of the school lockdowns was over a clear pink squirt gun. I saw it after I took custody from the cops. Anybody who could have mistaken that for a real gun would have to be a special kind of psychotic, as most of my psychotic patients could have told you.
