Type 1 based on serial number starting with 1. Types 2 will start with 4 or 5.

My price reflects the older model and the mount that I am including.

that said, there is a lot of unfounded hype with type1 vs type2.
Only difference is the battery contacts. Use a good battery and you won't have any issues. You probably won't anyway. Some guys put a piece of electric tape on the bottom of the battery to put extra pressure against the contact, or you can get one of these Click Here if you wanna spend $10 to do the same thing the tape does.
