I've been in the security clown world for over 15 years bud. You think that was kinda half a$$ed? You should go to Emanuel or Good Samaritan hospitals and see the buffoonery, the lack of care when it comes to screening. Optically, mostly it looks legit, but the things you can smuggle in, weapons…..drugs….ugh.poor management! You'll have to take my word as an insider. And once the time is right, I will post a nice long detailed story of the things I've experienced, here on NWFA.Little revival here, First time I've been to the fair and set off the metal detectors, first they though i bumped it and set it off, so back through and through again...
They got concerned looks but settled down when I told them I was exempt as I grabbed my wallet, opened the flap with the transparent panel, I noticed the one on top was my Utah permit not the Oregon, still, I was let in after he saw it...
On my way into the fair, the other security guy asked the other, CHL? In which the guy I showed my Utah permit (Valid Oregon below it not seen), quietly confirmed yes...
They knew the CHL exemption but their level of knowledge about what an Oregon CHL looks like, was lacking quite a bit, I could have made one on the printer that could have fooled them....
Is "Rent-A-Cop" better?I've been in the security clown world for over 15 years bud.
I always feel sorry for the security guys at Salem Health facilities. Unarmed and at the front of a free fire zone. I actually mentioned that to one of them at a Salem Health clinic and he called the Salem police. When I was done with my business the cop was at the door. He looked at me, smiled, tipped his hat and said to have a great day.I've been in the security clown world for over 15 years bud. You think that was kinda half a$$ed? Anyways, good on you, watch your six.
These places rob your wallet too.I never attend these places. Wanna disarm me, not today jack!
Its not the gang bangers I worry about.....its the drug addicted homeless and the mental illness that runs ramped in Oregon!I would take my son to the fairs and carnivals when he was young, but that was a loooong time ago. Oregon was not full of gang bangers back then and it was safe to take your kids almost anywhere. Things have changed and not in a good way. As woke as Oregon has become, I only expect things to continue to deteriorate.
Looks like mister falcon;s post disappeared. I believe he was talking about the 13% of the population that commits 50% of the crime.doen in AZ they used to have "pitbull day" at the fair
Not a joke, they really did

Well, that is just the statistic I've seen in multiple places. Hard to know for sure what he was talking about now as the post is now gone.Be careful
I think we all know what he was talking about and knowing that, why it will get removed as soon as it gets posted hereWell, that is just the statistic I've seen in multiple places. Hard to know for sure what he was talking about now as the post is now gone.
You think wrong my friend. I just got online and have no idea what any of you are talking about. I would turn to my old friend Google, but I don't know what to put in my search. Maybe I'll just call it a night and turn in early.I think we all know what he was talking about and knowing that, why it will get removed as soon as it gets posted here

Goats huh? That's the main reason The Clackamas County Fair is a "MUST DO!" for us every year! Some of the nicest people we've met. Had the sweetest little 9month old tan LaMancha female fall for Wifey this year. Wifey fell for her too. Had to go back and see her again before we left the barn. The little doe saw her coming down the aisle and was on the fence bleating softly as we got there.Have been there since Friday with wife watching her show in the open goat show...concealed carry is allowed with a permit.
They didn't sesrch anything once a permit is produced, other than making sure there's no open containers...unopened are allowed.
Had good conversations with some of the security people.

Sounds a little weird, but guess you have to there. The kids taking care of them are really neat too.
