I bought a Walther P22 for my wife a decade or so ago. She only shot it once. Sooooo that was a mistake. It will only shoot stingers apparently, and when I took it apart I was afraid of breaking it. Its flimsy inside. Its been in the safe for 16 years now. The pistol, not my wife.

I just started to shoot Glocks a lot in the past 3 years or so. When I get a FTF or something like that, I still think something is wrong. Dirty, ammo, magazine......no....no...no....no....I limpwristed it again. :)

I am a lot better at not doing that now. And Hey! Glass half full! I have gotten better at clearing malfunctions.

I purchased a Para P-13 that would have a jam once in a while. I wanted to carry it, so I spent some coin and had a local gunsmith do a reliability package on it. Improved did but not completely solve the issue. I replaced the recoil spring with heaver spring and problem solved. I always wondered why the gunsmith didn't suggest this.

Every darned one of them shoots low and left, I just can't figure out why they make them that way.

PS for you absolutists, this is humor

Issues? - New Guns!

I HATE new guns, especially if they are shiny, pretty with great wood & finish...and then you take them out to shoot them and what? The inevitable dings, scratches & other 'beauty marks' they ARE going to get.

Heck even my new RIA 1911 is about the plainest Jainest gun there is and after only shooting it 50 rounds it's already getting a couple little marks and bare metal !

Ok I am NOT obsessing. I am a little 'bummed' at first but I get over it quickly as I take them out more and realize I BOUGHT them to shoot and not hang up on the wall!

Not to mention how little coin it took to acquire that RIA.

When I bought mine, I noticed the one in the display case was showing some wear just from being handled by prospective buyers. I wasn't surprised to see mine showing signs of usage, but it still hurts a little. I think they are pretty good-looking guns, especially for the price.

Oh absolutely for the $379 mine was !

Also, mine came from the Bi Mart warehouse and was still wrapped in it's cosmo laden plastic bag and had never been handled, buy looky loos that is.
Yeah, I got mine at Cascade Farm and they let me handle the display model. When I was satisfied it was what I wanted, they pulled a new one from the back room to sell me. It was pristine. Like yours, it was in a cosmo laden plastic bag. The poor guy that had to pull it out of the bag to get the serial number for the 4473 got covered with grease. :s0114: It was a bit of work to get that grease cleaned off before I took it out for the first time. That's probably why they kept the display model as a display model - so they wouldn't have to keep cleaning them.

I took mine completely apart and BOILED all the parts.

They came out dry as a popcorn fart and after a light wipedown with Hoppes # 9 and a light lube it's as smooth as as a cheerleaders thighs.....
How poetic. You're a regular fricken' Henry Wadsworth Longfellow! :s0023:

Hmmm, mine do the SAME THING! Not so bad though if you aim high right.
