Now that deer season is over it's time for ducks even though the shoot has been dismal since opening day. All the refuges put up big numbers that one day and nothing else comes close. I saw that's pretty much how Sauvie is rolling too. We'll take a few dozen deeks out but will start small and see what happens. Big thing is to get our 3 year old lab out to get wet and reinforce some training, the big one being to stay put until we send her. She gets so excited when the guns go off 😂.

Just go next to any wastewater lagoon and they will be around! Those ducks are nasty eaters and typically are year round residents.

Here's a teaser. We did get her out twice last year but only because neither my son or I had a CA drivers license yet and we had to buy two day licenses at $60 bucks a pop.

This was her first duck, but she dropped it for the photo op lol.
