Tikka 7PRC home build

Just finished putting together my first semi custom rifle. Used a Tikka action, 22" Proof 7PRC pre fit barrel and a Manners EH1TK stock. Pretty happy how it turned out. Should have enough cash in a month or so for some glass and then finally get her out to the range. I've got reloading components so I'll update when I start load development.

Here's the first three 3 shot groups I had this morning while breaking in the barrel. Not to bad for factory ammo but I think I can do a little better with reloads once I get some dies.

Tikka is a solid platform for sure I have no complaints with their factory set ups except for the stock . What is the barrel life on a 7prc ?

Agree with you on the stock. My only complaint with mine is the stock. Other then that you can't beat a tikka

All of mine at minimum wear a B&C stock some a Manners same with the Sako it has turned a few questionable rifles into 500 yard regulars

Barrel life from what I've read should be similar to that of a 7 rem mag. I've made it to the range once with some reloads and H1000 with 180gr Berger Hybrids look promising. Been out of town for the past couple months for work but I'll post my results when I get some more time to fine tune the load.

I shot 5rd groups with H1000 @300yds and I'm going to keep working up. No pressure and I'm not thrilled with any of them. I shot 3rd groups with Retumbo @200yds and started seeing pressure at 69.5gr. Going to get back to the range this weekend and try again.
