So, I've been kicking around adding a dedicated varmint rifle to the battery. (Had one so set-up some years back, but parted with it for various reasons.) Mainly been focusing on the Remington 740/742/7400s in .243 Winchester. But I'm not set on that and am still in the early looking around stage. Haven't ruled out a CZ or even a Tikka at this point, for example.
I keep coming across the Steyr Model L and I have to say I like what I see: Can be had in .243 Winchester, .22—250 Remington, or 6㎜ Remington. Set triggers, nice wood stocks (some Mannlicher style), detachable box magazines, etc. However, I know nothing about these rifles.
Anyone own / shoot one? If so, what are your thoughts? Thanks!
