Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
Wow. That is cool. Actually very cool and thank you. We raised and trained Appy trail horses. They could or would not dance like that. But ... we did bullet proof our animals against loud dirt bikes, chain saws, close crop dusters and very close freight trains. Also parting shots with shotguns and rifles from the saddle. No problems.
All the usual Western training. But no real fence jumping although a couple might. But ... we did not teach our horses how to dance around rattle snakes and grizzly bears. Never did that. Oh ... our horses loved to swim. Ground broke. Trailer broke. A couple had five gaits. Never needed saddles either. We used Hackamores. No bits.
Or just our hands on their manes. Which horse is more practical? Dunno. We know ours could not dance like that. Never tried although they could communicate quite well. All we had to do is listen and watch. One in particular was smarter than us. A pleasure to have him train us. I wonder what ever happened to Charley? Long ago.
But ... even Charley had a few bad habits. Did not like bits. Did not like spurs. But he loved kids.
Didn't click but I'd vote Appie's too. Even though "cold blooded" they'd keep up with any and often win the fifty mile endurance races. Whereas the Arabians would just try to kill you and themselves as quickly and gruesomely as possible.
