"That's a New England Bun…

…at least they got the Clam Chowda' right."

Huh. I thought Trader Joe's was supposed to be hot stuff.

I have to admit, when out of cheap hot dog buns, I've folded a slice of sandwich bread around the dog. Close your eyes and it tastes the same.

When I was a kid circa 1960, there was a bread product called Wiener Wagons. It was a one piece molded hot dog bun. The cavity for the dog was right down the middle and it was a perfect, snug fit. One end of the cavity was open, the other was a cul-de-sac. As I recall, they weren't quite as fluffy as the typical cake-like white bread hot dog buns we typically know. I've no idea who made them; I didn't pay attention to brands back then.
I feel like that would be a great name for a barNgrill or cafe... The Wiener Wagon- We Beat Your Meat! Open late

Definitely falls under, first world problems, but it is something that should not happen in America.

It could be compared to what Americans claim pizza is to a native Italian. A hotdogs is simple in design but the details matter.

If that abomination of hotdog "buns" is the "most un-American thing" you've seen, and not the naked contempt of American people in broad display at the Capitol of the United States, and not the many violations of the Constitution happening across the United States, ranging from 1st to 10th Amendment issues, but particularly 2A in Oregon, WA, CA, 9th District, and so forth.... My man, I dont know.
Did I click on the grind your gears section? Man being old suxs

What I still cannot understand is why hot dogs do not come in the same package quantity as the bag of buns. So you either come up short or have extra bits. Very annoying.
Buns and hotdogs, at least for the cheap brands, seem to come in packs of 8. A few brands offer hotdogs in packs of 10 or far more though.

Franz and whoever makes them for WinCo, hotdog buns in 8 packs. Ballpark franks, and Bar-S or whoever is doing the cheap hotdogs, sells them in 8-24 packs. Oscar Mayer seem to be the ones with 10 pack hotdogs.

Merely a small investment compared to the profits made by the military industrial complex which pays out big dividends to its shareholders.... who just happen to hold seats in government that sent out that money in the first place.
