These are still just rich people toys and not viable for almost all normal Americans. Normal meaning not a true "townie"
Lol. If your talking about the Cyber truck, sure. If your talking about the mass of regular EVs, then you're completely wrong.

Yet no one wants the Dorkotrons, other than a few select dorks.

But the seig heil thing is quite fitting for Peelon.
Point of interest....

The word, "dork" is a word used by sailers of antiquity that referred a whale's wiener.... when there was an actual market for such things.

However, I can easily see the analogous comparison given the context of your statement.

Not to derail the thread...but has anyone seen a Tesla cyber truck doing any work?...hauling or pulling anything? I've never seen it.....but I'm retired and live a sheltered life.

Can't image one pulling the jet boat very far.
And the camper?....fugetaboutit.....

One thing this gets wrong is that things stay dry in the trunk (narrator's voice: Things do not stay dry in the trunk) :s0114:

Hell, I hadn't seen a truck "Bed" in on of those things until the video above.

I want to know what these things are like on a road trip? Like, we used to drive to SLC to visit family and friends the week after New Years. 800 miles of cold cold temps, and many time some pretty "Blizzardy" weather. How many miles do you get in sub freezing weather and up's and down of mountain passes? At freeway/cross country speeds? Never seem to hear about that.

My brothers grandson lives in liberal Denver and drives an electric car.
he made a trip for Thanksgiving to western Wyoming.
400 miles.

14 hours to make the trip.
had to stop and charge the car 4 times

not good in the cold

EV: 400 miles/14 hours = average speed of 29 mph (assumes 70 mph interstate speed limit and four stops for charging, potty breaks, and eating)

ICE: 400 miles/6 hours = average speed of 67 mph (assumes 70 mph interstate speed limit and one 15-minute stop for gas/potty break combined).

Get there in under half the time with only a short stop to refuel and piss. I know what I would buy...

Hybrid: 400 miles/5 hours 20 minutes = average speed of 75 mph (Fook da Po-lice!) and still have 150 miles to go before needing gas.

Potty break? "You should have thought of that before we left!"

Tucker Carlson did one a bit ago. Buddy of his in Main got one to test out. It was impressive but, even the guy who was testing it said as impressive as it was he would not pay that price for one. I sure as hell am not going to buy one either. I do have to kind of chuckle at all the hate though as Elon is laughing all the way to the bank.
